Erasable Gaming Maps Kickstarter from BlackWyrm Publishing

BlackWyrm Publishing has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a set of eight Erasable Gaming Maps.

Back the Kickstarter campaign here.

Eight different erasable tabletop gaming maps for a variety of genres.

This project will fund a product line of useful, high-quality, and attractive erasable vinyl maps for roleplaying games, strategy games, war games, and other tabletop gaming needs. The initial product line will include eight different types of maps in two different sizes. A fantasy tavern, steampunk zeppelin, modern warehouse, and starship map will be made available in 91 by 51 centimeter size, while a fantasy castle, pirate ship, modern street intersection, and an interstellar dreadnaught map will be made available in 122 by 76 centimeter size. These maps will use 2.5 centimeter (i.e. one inch) squares to indicate distance. Upon completion of this project we will first make these maps available to our backers, and only then to retailers worldwide through distribution and directly to customers through our website.

Each of these robust erasable maps will be good for many, many individual gaming sessions! Thus, even though they are more expensive than other sorts of gaming maps, they are in the long run a much better bargain than other similar products, such as single-use disposable paper maps.

Although these maps are much more durable and elegant than maps you print yourself, we’ll give you the ability to print your own anyway. We’ll throw in an electronic version of every map that you back. If you pledge the erasable tavern map, you’ll also get a version of that tavern map to print yourself.

Each of these eight maps is being designed by veteran gaming cartographer Keith Curtis, responsible for much of the cartography in Hero Games books published over the last decade.
