Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.2 Now Live

Dungeons & Dragons officially released the System Reference Document (SRD) 5.2 into Creative Commons today. This update builds on the foundation of SRD 5.1 and reflects our continued effort to support the passionate, talented creators who make the D&D community thrive. SRD 5.2 allows creators to utilize the updated core rules to publish their own TRPG content and keep full ownership and control of their creations.

SRD 5.2 expands on existing content with additional spells, feats, monsters, and equipment, giving creators more tools than ever to design adventures, worlds, and rulesets that capture their unique visions. We will also add transition resources to help creators smoothly adapt from SRD 5.1.

And, for the first time ever, the SRD will be part of the errata process, ensuring it is updated regularly as official clarifications and corrections are published for the Core Rulebooks. Version numbers will be used going forward so creators can easily track changes and choose the version that best suits their needs.

The D&D community is incredibly creative, and with SRD 5.2, we can’t wait to see what new worlds, adventures, and experiences people create. In the meantime, additional SRD 5.2 information and an FAQ can be found here.
