Welcome to the 2024 Edition of the Dungeon Master’s Screen for Dungeons & Dragons. It is a 4-panel, horizontally-laid-out screen with no shortage of easy to read and utilize quick references for the DM – Conditions, Improvising Damage, Damage Severity and Level, Actions, Skills, Object Armor Class and Hit Points, Death Saving Throws, Food/Drink, Lodging, Difficulty Classes, Light Sources, Obscured Areas, Travel Pace, Travel Terrain. Cover, Audible Distance, Visibility Outdoors, and Weather. Some of these are but more obscure in use, such as audible distance and visibility outdoors, making it a quick way for the DM to resolve those situation. It has a good mixture of combat, general, and overland mechanics, making it useful at many points in your game.

The artwork on the other side, however, is a bit awkward. While it is thematically D&D, it does not match the artwork found on the other core books. This one is more cartoon-like, or something you would see in a comic book. I think it’s more meant as a representation to all the core classes combined with different options, but it just doesn’t feel right.

That’s about it. It is a very sturdy DM’s Screen and comes with a protective sleeve for easier storage, but next to the other books the artwork seems out of place.
