Austin, TX (September 16, 2025) – Today, The Gambit Foundry launched a Kickstarter campaign for its inaugural game, Riftblade. Fully funded in 29 minutes, raising $10,228 USD from 77 backers, this campaign will deliver both a tabletop and mobile deckbuilding battler that innovates on the genre to keep games fresh and new match after match.
Riftblade introduces dice mechanics and fresh ways to draft to the deckbuilder genre, to keep games from becoming stale and recycling the same, tired strategies after a few sessions. Players won’t just draw to build their grimoire of spells; they can also cast them directly from The Rift as part of their spell chain with devastating effect. The game also launches with two expansions finished and ready to add to the action for even more ways to battle.
“These (expansions) really feel like they took the game up to a new level,” notes Jasper Willian Cartwright of 12 Sided Studios. “I love the way the expansions not just add to the game, but actually introduce new aspects.”
Riftblade isn’t just a tabletop game either. The Gambit Foundry is also developing a mobile game for Riftblades to take their duels on the road and battle across the globe. Those who pledge in the first 24 hours will receive guaranteed access to the Riftblade Mobile beta, and all reward tiers include digital rewards to get backers started with in-game currency, both launch expansions, and more!
“The thing that sets it apart for me…is the fact that you are building a radically different deck to your opponent,” says YouTuber and accomplished TCG and Deckbuilding content creator, Spice8Rack. “You’re not zeroing in on the exact same strategy and just replicating each other.”
The campaign includes just four reward tiers to collect the base game for $59 USD, both expansions, a deluxe edition upgrade, or an all-in tier at $199 USD, as well as add-ons for both the physical and digital editions.
