Corvus Belli Set to Release Warcrow Milestone

Corvus Belli Releases Ground-Breaking Narrative-Driven Expansion for Warcrow

For more than 20 years, Corvus Belli has received glowing reviews for its amazing metal miniatures, miniature battle games, and board games. Its science fiction skirmish game, Infinity, is undeniably one of the most recognized titles out there. Known for its immersive rules, extremely diverse factions, and – of course – highly detailed, expertly sculpted miniatures, it is supported by a large, passionate fan base and energetic community.

Only a single year after first releasing its fantasy skirmish wargame, Warcrow, in retail, the Spanish company announces a new milestone: Song of the Dormant, a bold, narrative-driven expansion set for two players that is sure to break entirely new ground in the hobby… and now we would love to give you the opportunity to herald its multi-tiered release from the very front lines!

Song of the Dormant is not only set to be one of the most ambitious wargaming campaigns of the year, but it also significantly expands Warcrow lore.

The ultimate goal is to advance the narrative and build on the unfolding storyline, creating an even more intense living world for gamers to experience.

The unique appeal of Song of the Dormant includes:

  • Strategic, objective-focused gameplay using the already widely acclaimed Warcrow ruleset.
  • Deep, myth-inspired narrative that breathes life into the setting, crafting a fantastic yet believable world that grips gamers from the very beginning.
  • A shared world with world-class replayability and powerful storytelling hooks.
  • A visually unforgettable hobby experience with two featured factions to begin with, all including top-notch miniatures.
  • An exciting step-by-step unveiling process, allowing both preparation time and something to truly look forward to.

The Factions in Song of the Dormant

Warcrow: Song of the Dormant includes opposing miniatures from two distinct factions:

· Feudom: The second-largest kingdom on Lindwurm, Feudom was founded by the descendants of the ancient Widtha tribes, who succeeded in unifying a large part of the territory left devastated after the Elven Great War more than one thousand years ago.

A prosperous realm inhabited by the Chosen People, most still honor the old ways in their worship of the twin moon goddesses. Their military Order of the Knights of Losna and the Order of the Sacred Priestesses of Selas have become powerful forces in their own right.

Unfortunately, of late, Feudom has lost territory due to incursions from the north, and action will need to be taken to stave off further losses.

· Scions of Yaldabaoth: Scattered across Lindwurm and with no country to call their own, the Scions of Yaldabaoth are all that remains of what they themselves consider to be the only rightful rulers of Gae Assail—the former Elven Empire. Hated and persecuted for more than a millennium, the Scions have so far been relegated to waging a more inconspicuous underground war.

While elves have a much higher affinity for magic than any other living creatures in the world, only these “Dark Minded” dare to embrace it fully, unafraid of the Tinge that taints such arcane endeavors. This allows them to bend the Fog to their will, create monsters, and even break the seemingly impassable barrier between life and death.
