Legends of Avallen and 5th Edition Welsh Celtic-inspired campaign book to ship in June

New Legends of Avallen campaign book, Against the Faerie Queene is available for pre-order from 11th April 2024, including bundle deals with its accompanying Art Book, deck of playing cards, and the Legends of Avallen Core Rulebook. Copies will ship at the beginning of June.

The Faerie Queene orchestrates an aeons-old quest for vengeance from the eerie twilight of the Otherworld. In Avallen, her hidden agents fulfil her bidding in rebellion against clans and gods alike. But the ancient fae cannot anticipate new heroes who are bold enough to rise against her.

Against the Faerie Queene is a 370 page epic fantasy campaign book full of Celtic mythology, daring adventure, stunning artwork, and new character options for heroes of levels 1-10 in both 5th Edition and the card-based Celtic TTRPG, Legends of Avallen.

Alongside the tragic legend surrounding King Arthur’s mother, Against the Faerie Queene crafts its narrative from little-known Welsh Celtic tales, such as the great boar hunt of “Culhwch and Olwen”, the haunting riddles of “The Son of Llyr”, and the journey for redemption of “Peredur the Son of Efrawg”.

This traditional deck of poker cards is printed on premium card stock with Celtic-inspired borders and a selective metallic foil finish that highlights the gorgeous character, fae, and monster illustrations of Against the Faerie Queene.

Legends of Avallen

Against the Faerie Queene is compatible with 5th Edition but designed for Legends of Avallen. Inspired by Celtic mythology in Roman Britain, Legends of Avallen is a roleplaying game that takes you to a mystical island occupied by faithless invaders. For now, peace has been called, but it balances on a sword’s edge as all seek to tame the Otherworld—a parallel realm home to fae, demons, dragons, and gods.
