Loremaster’s Screen & Rivendell Compendium contains a loremaster screen accessory (same thing as a GM’s screen from other games) and a short setting guide to Rivendell. The Loremaster’s Screen is quite typical of any game with mid- to heavy-mechanics. All the pertinent information is there for the LM to run the game along with those common mechanics that everyone in the game uses frequently. And of course on the other side is some fantastic artwork. The Rivendell Compendium is a setting guide for the rather small locale known as Rivendell, home to a few powerful High Elves. Rivendell is physically small, only 13 features noted on the map. The supplement delves into the ins and outs of the small locale along with an in-depth look at the High Elves that dwell there. The focus of the supplement is one of the main High Elves, Elrond, and how he (and the others really) could become a part of an adventure or campaign, such as being the patron. (Almost as an added bonus, the mechanics are provided for making characters from Rivendell.)

That’s about it. The Rivendell Companion is almost a bonus to buying the LM Screen; kind of like creating a Deluxe Edition to the core rulebook. You’re just getting more content that aligns with the content in the core rulebook.
