Renegade Game Studios Continues Growth with Promotion

San Diego, CA (Jan. 14th, 2021) – Renegade Game Studios is proud to announce that Sara Erickson has been promoted to a new role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This expanded role will be focused on increasing the growth that Renegade has enjoyed in the past six years with a special focus on serving the diverse fan base surrounding recently announced licenses.

Erickson entered the industry as co-owner of a local hobby store, Rook’s Comics and Games in 2006 before moving to the publishing side of the industry where she worked for Cryptozoic Entertainment and IELLO before accepting a position with industry veteran, Scott Gaeta, at the newly formed Renegade Game Studios.

”Every day at Renegade brings something new and exciting.” explains Erickson, “Renegade has been growing very quickly with brands like Power Rangers and Vampire: The Masquerade and a whole new RPG department. We’re seeing engagement from people who would never have picked up a hobby game in the past. I look forward to working with the rest of my team to ensure that these new fans have a great experience.”

“Sara has proven herself as an effective leader and manager but most importantly she’s a great person,” says Scott Gaeta, President and Publisher of Renegade Game Studios. “I’m excited and confident in all the new initiatives she’s leading at Renegade and her efforts will help us grow and reach more fans around the world. This promotion is not just a recognition of her capabilities but her track record over many years. She’s one of the top people in our industry and I couldn’t be more pleased that she’s on our team.”

Erickson will continue to work closely with hobby distributors and stores while exploring opportunities to reach new customers around the globe. New initiatives making it easier for fans to access Renegade games include an updated website offering expanded resources for fans and stores. She will also continue to support her marketing team, including the most recent addition, Matt Holland, as they design and implement programs offering more options for in-store and at home organized play. As more of the recently announced games based on brands, including G.I. Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony, are released, the Sales and Marketing team will look for new ways to reach these existing fan communities.
