Letters from the Editor – December, 2012 Traffic Report

December, 2012 Traffic Report We installed a new program to monitor our traffic due to the limitations of of Google Analytics. This new plug-in actually collects the raw traffic information whereas Google does not collect traffic from all sources and from those who block that type of interface. As such, traffic reports will come monthly instead of quarterly due to processing the raw traffic numbers....

Roleplayers Chronicle 2011 Year in Review

2011 was a FANTASTIC year for Roleplayers Chronicle. At the start of the year, I was watching the daily visitor count to reach 100 while today I watch it reach 200. We kicked off a new series of articles written by developers called Designer’s Diary and signed on three new writers all with their own article series: Tales from the Gazebo by Cape Rust, Under the Hood by The Warden, and Games and...

I’ve decided to make a change to our Premium Content. I am going back to our original design of producing small premium content releases instead of collected within the eZine. In addition, the eZine will be removed and its individual Premium Content pieces...

Letters From the Editor – June 26, 2011

June 26, 2011 Greetings to all our faithful readers! Summer is upon us (here in the Northern hemisphere that is) and this means vacation season. Incidentally, your Editor-in-Chief of Roleplayers Chronicle will be on vacation for much of July. To celebrate the 4th of July, I will be traveling to a large family gathering with no Internet access. From Friday July 1 through Sunday July 3, there will...

Letters from the Editor – December 31, 2010

This year has been quite interesting for myself and the tabletop role-playing industry.  I’ve seen tons of great new products released with a vast range from core products to sourcebooks and accessories. Roleplayers Chronicle has grown as well since its inception in late August. I’m astonished by the positive response I’ve been getting and the number of people out there interested...

Letters from the Editor – November 14, 2010

If you haven’t noticed, there have been some changes made to the website.  I’ve been debating for a while on the layout of the website and I finally decided to draw my “vision” and went searching to see if there was a template available to match it. Well there wasn’t… So what I decided to do was explore further into the options available for this template and how...

A quick update to start October off. A few updates have been made to Roleplayers Chronicle: Translation – I have added the option to translate a page using Google Translation.  This option can be found in the footer at the very bottom of each page.  While it’s not a perfect translation, it may help those whose first language is not English. RSS Feeds – Through a suggestion from...

Letters from the Editor – September 26, 2010

I decided to start putting together a US/Canada tabletop role-playing convention calendar for 2011.  I have already spent around 2 hours simply trying to find what’s out there and am finding it quite difficult.  I have knowledge of many that I was not able to find through simple searching and many more that I have no knowledge about and have not been able to find. So now I’m putting out...

Letters From the Editor – September 17, 2010

As I sit here behind my laptop, I often wonder to myself why did I start this new endeavor? Then I surf the Internet and I remember why, because there are so many fantastic companies out there involved in the tabletop role-playing industry that it’s almost overwhelming if you tried to keep track of them all.  I have amassed a list of around 275 companies and am astounded by the products that...
