Proctor, MN – 2/12/26 – Atlas Games is a family-owned business located in Minnesota for over 35 years. Seeing our neighbors affected by the federal government’s Operation Metro Surge has been incredibly upsetting for us. To aid those in need, we’re running a month-long charity fundraiser that has donated $3500 so far.
Each day in Feburary, we’re featuring a different sale on a game title in our webstore, discounted at least 50%. A blog post goes up at midnight with the link, and the sale lasts 24 hours (or while supplies last). We’re donating 100% of the sale price to local organizations helping our Minnesota neighbors affected by the ICE storm.
Here in Minnesota, and most visibly Minneapolis, we’ve responded to an armed federal presence with radical nonviolence, solidarity, and mutual aid. When legal immigrants are detained after showing up at their court hearings, people are picked up off the street for the color of their skin, and children are abducted and shipped out of state or country, it’s understandable that some are afraid to leave their homes. Countless Minnesotans and organizations have stepped up to help: delivering groceries, providing legal assistance, and even helping with rent (because people have no income when they can’t go to work).
Federally-sanctioned violence and even killing has only increased our resolve and drawn more people of conscience to become active.
On Thursday, “Border Czar” Tom Homan announced that Operation Metro Surge is de-escalating, and ICE will draw down its presence in Minnesota soon. This is great news if it actually happens, but Minnesotans remain wary, and these masked, armed forces may only be redeployed to other cities around the nation. It would be great to see a local reduction in harm, but there’s much damage still to recover from, and a big need for financial help. Our Fork Ice February fundraiser will continue to donate to MN charities helping clean up the mess that the federal government has inflicted on our community.
