Atlas Games of Proctor, MN Surpasses $100K on Kickstarter Campaign
On March 28th, Atlas Games launched the third Kickstarter for the popular Magical Kitties Save the Day roleplaying game, first released in 2020. The campaign features a film noir-themed setting book, called Kitty Noir. Today, they surpassed $100K in funding from their kitty-loving fan base!
“Can’t you just imagine a fedora-ed detective kitty, tailing a mysterious woman in red?” asks Atlas Games co-owner Michelle Nephew. “Kitty Noir lets players explore a whole detective series as magical kitties, or throw in an intriguing mystery that any visiting kitty can uncover!”

- No one ever dies in Magical Kitties. If you take too many Owies, you get knocked out or otherwise “incapacitated” for the scene. And you can always avoid combat entirely.
- You get XP every time you fail a roll, learning from your mistakes. And for saving the day, of course!
About the Kitty Noir Hometown
As part of the Cat Eyes Detective Agency, the magical kitties work together to solve crimes and uncover the mysterious secrets of Sunset City. Because there’s much more to this hometown than meets the eye. Someone has frozen the city in time, inside a magical bubble, and they don’t want anyone to know about it!
Kitty Noir takes its inspiration from classic film noir and crime movies from the 1930s-1950s, and from Golden Age science fiction stories of time travel.
