Gen Con Report: February 4, 2011

February 4, 2011

The newest convention season has already fallen upon us and it’s time to gear up for the big ones. How can you resist the biggest of them all (in the US)? That’s right, Gen Con Indy 2011 has already been given the official start with pre-registration and exhibit sign-up.

For all those who don’t know, here’s the 2011 website:

So what can you do?  You can volunteer to work the convention, become one of the many gamemasters, or simply attend and take in the entire scene.

If you plan on being a gamemaster, checkout their forums for more information:

Badge pre-registration started a couple weeks ago but ends on Saturday June 18 @ 11:59 PM (Eastern) when the prices go up. Pre-registration costs are $68/4-day or $38/1-day. When pre-registration ends, these prices go up by $10 each.

Event registration begins Sunday May 1.

So who’s going to be there?  I don’t know yet as the list hasn’t been posted. However, if you are a publisher and plan on attending, send me an e-mail and we’ll get a list going (for tabletop role-playing that is)!

Follow the Gen Con Report article series for great news concerning Gen Con, participating publishers, and maybe even pre-release news.

Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you’d like to support Roleplayers Chronicle in this Gen Con promotion (including the promotion of all attending publishers), click the donate button and show your support.
