San Diego, CA \u2013 October 14, 2025 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0 Today, Renegade Game Studios launched their highly anticipated crowdfunding campaign for the 40th Anniversary Edition of Ikusa Samurai Swords<\/em> on Gamefound.<\/div>\n

\nThis edition of the game will have all new art and upgraded components to celebrate 40 years since the game\u2019s debut in 1986. Renegade has posted teasers of upgrade reveals and spotlights on the campaign page and will be releasing them in updates throughout the entirety of the campaign.<\/div>\n

Renegade opted to maintain the gameplay and rules from earlier versions of the game as well as bringing back the turn-order swords that were removed from the 2011 release of the game. The campaign started with an announcement showing off the all-new art from Takeshi Oga and the silhouetted teasers for the other reveals and spotlights already have fans speculating on other upgrades.<\/div>\n

The Gamefound campaign will run from October 14th to November 25th<\/strong> and fans should back as soon as possible. This edition will only be available through the Gamefound campaign and will not be offered at retail.<\/div>\n
