\"\"<\/a>Australian creator Wade Dyer\u2019s post-post-apocalyptic science fiction roleplaying game, Fragged Empire<\/strong><\/em>, was a huge success when it first launched in 2016. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2022, Fragged Empire 2nd Edition<\/strong><\/em> has launched into the TTRPG space and is now available from our webstores and the usual distribution channels.<\/p>\n

What is Fragged Empire?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fragged Empire<\/strong><\/em> is a setting where your people are returning to space following a century of hiding during the aftermath of a galactic war where the Nephilim and the X\u2019ion master successfully defeated the Archons and their servile nations. It\u2019s a universe that leans heavily into themes of cultural tension and exploration, with a dash of transhumanism, nation-building and a hope for a better future.<\/p>\n

A typical game of Fragged Empire<\/strong><\/em> will see you and your friends take on the role of a character from one of eight core species (explored in our blog post here). You will join together to form a ragtag band of misfits who travel around the sector in a spaceship, taking odd jobs and getting into trouble.<\/p>\n

Inspirations for Fragged Empire<\/strong><\/em> include: Cowboy Bebop<\/em>, Firefly<\/em>, the Millennium Falcon scenes from Star Wars<\/em>, and a little of The Expanse<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new in 2nd Edition?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2nd edition of Fragged Empire<\/em><\/strong> has improved on the 1st edition in every way! The rules are slimmer and more intuitive than 1st edition while also increasing the depth of your options. A unique classless rule system allows for plenty of customization, not just in how players build their PCs, equipment, and spaceship, but also for the GM and what kind of campaign they want to run.<\/p>\n

The lore has expanded beyond the Haven system, pre-Great War history is explored, and it doubles down on the key features that make the Fragged universe so interesting: its various species and their cultures.<\/p>\n

Fragged Empire 2nd Edition<\/strong><\/em> is compatible with all previous non-Empire Fragged titles, such as Fragged Kingdom<\/em>, Fragged Aeternum<\/em>, and Fragged Seas<\/em>.<\/p>\n
