New Expansion & Reprint of Mutant: Year Zero Core Books<\/em><\/p>\n

Stockholm, Sweden (September 26, 2023) \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>Free League Publishing<\/a> today announced the thrilling expansion,\u00a0Ad Astra<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>for the award-winning post-apocalyptic tabletop RPG\u00a0Mutant: Year Zero<\/em>.\u00a0Ad Astra<\/em>\u00a0takes the player characters from the devastated surface of Earth into orbit, out into the solar system, and perhaps further still.<\/p>\n

A pre-order for\u00a0Ad Astra<\/em>\u00a0has been launched at the\u00a0Free League webshop<\/a>\u00a0and gives immediate early access to a full PDF ahead of the release early next year. In addition to\u00a0Ad Astra<\/em>, Free League today announced a reprint of all\u00a0Mutant: Year Zero<\/em>\u00a0core books, including\u00a0Mutant: Mechatron<\/em>\u00a0which has long been out of print.<\/p>\n

Through the tiny portholes of the space capsule, you see the city hanging weightlessly beneath the stars \u2013\u00a0 like a huge hanging mobile over Earth, the poisoned cradle of humanity. Drawing closer, it becomes clear that there is something wrong with this star city. You float past large holes, torn wires, and cracked satellite dishes. It seems the Apocalypse reached all the way to the heavens.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ad Astra<\/em>\u00a0can be played stand-alone or as a direct continuation of the\u00a0Path to Eden<\/em>\u00a0campaign in the\u00a0Mutant: Year Zero<\/em>\u00a0core rulebook. The campaign book also includes rules for playing\u00a0Mutant: Year Zero<\/em>\u00a0in space and an overview of the solar system with ideas for further adventures.<\/p>\n

Ad Astra<\/em>\u00a0is written by Jens Alm and illustrated by Kim W. Andersson, an award-winning comic book writer and artist. His works include\u00a0Love Hurts, Astrid<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Alena<\/em>, the latter of which was adapted into a Swedish film of the same name.<\/p>\n
