Starfleet Reinforcements Arrive for the Star Trek Adventures Roleplaying Game


LONDON, ENGLAND (March 8th, 2018): The Star Trek™ Adventures roleplaying game has two brand new supplements, and two new miniatures sets available to pre-order on and friendly local gaming stores from today. The Command Division Supplemental Rulebook launches the division supplements for the game, which will focus on Starfleet’s six departments, with Operations and Sciences Division supplements to follow. The Beta Quadrant Sourcebook kicks off a line of four supplements about the Star Trek Galaxy, providing new mission ideas and character options for both players and Gamemasters. The Next Generation Away Team miniatures give players the perfect tabletop avatar for their character, and the Borg Collective miniatures set gives the Gamemaster a new, dangerous foe for their tabletop. Klingon Deck Tiles round off the release, mapping out iconic Klingon starship interiors.

“Make it so,” with the Command Division Supplemental Rulebook, with lead writer Jim Johnson (Mirror Universe: Shards and Shadows, Strange New Worlds) providing a wealth of new material for characters in the command or conn departments, including information on Starfleet Command and the Admiralty. Players can explore a role in the Admiralty with a new style of play, focusing on large scale decision making that can affect whole fleets, with new rules for fleet battles and maneuvers. Expanded Social Conflict rules gives a new dimension to galactic diplomacy with more options for influencing opponents and social tactics. New player options for character creation include new Talents for the Command and Conn Disciplines, as well as a list of department related Focuses to help creating characters in the command division. Sixteen new Federation starships are available to crew, including fan favorites the NX class, Oberth class, Ambassador class, Nebula class, Steamrunner class, and Sovereign class, with spaceframe statistics for starship creation as well as new starship Talents for the 22nd century. The Gamemaster also has a whole host of resources, from advice on running Command focused campaigns, to a new selection of named NPCs and command and conn archetypes, including Lwaxana Troi, Sarek, and Curzon Dax. The Beta Quadrant Sourcebook, led by Jennifer Baughman (Conan, Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of, and The World’s Largest Dungeon) will give both Gamemasters and players in-depth information and historical details on the Federation and its planets in the Beta Quadrant, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, as well as fan favorites the Gorn and the Orion Syndicate. It will also offer players new alien species to choose from during character creation, from Benzites and Klingons, to Deltans, the Xindi, and Zakdorn. Gamemasters have a new range of NPC starships from all Beta Quadrant powers, with the mighty Klingon Negh’Var battle cruiser, the Romulan bird-of-prey from the 22nd century, as well as Orion Syndicate, Gorn, and civilian starships. A new selection of adversarial Non-Player Characters that call the Beta Quadrant their home are also made available for players to confront, overcome, or forge alliances. A range of 32mm scale Next Generation Away Team miniatures will provide players the perfect set of figures for their characters, with both male and female figures for humanoids, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, and Denobulans in high quality resin, boasting impressive detail. The Star Trek Adventures RPG Core Rulebook lets players create their own Star Trek stories of discovery and adventure with an extensive exploration of the United Federation of Planets and its galactic neighbors, guidelines for Gamemasters, a catalog of aliens and antagonists, and much more.
