Shaman, Jinn, and Martial Arts

Here’s a look at today’s new, third party, and accessory releases.

Fat Goblin Games [visit their Facebook page here] has released their latest alternate class CLASSifieds supplement for Pathfinder featuring the Skinwalking Shaman. “Most Druidic orders include in their teachings at least a basic knowledge of the wild magic that allows one to shift into animal form. It is said that this ability was taught to the first Druids by a group of benevolent lycanthropes who wanted to spread their love of the animal kingdom with others. Over time, though, the ability to “wild shape” has been reduced to only one aspect of Druidic culture.” Written by Tyler Beck, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: TITLE.

Savage Worlds

TAG-HF-LF-RG2-The-Jinn-Lands-of-OldTriple Ace Games has released their latest Land of Fire Realm Guide for Hellfrost, detailing The Jinn Lands of Old [view our entry in the Roleplayers Chronicle Reference database here]. “For 800 years the Jinn Lands were the center of a vast, aggressive, magic-rich empire. For 800 years they were the home of countless slaves, forced into servitude by their unearthly masters. But now they are a land of blasted ruins and distant memories, of lone caravanserais and remote oases. Although their cities are gone, reduced to dust by the rebellious slave, the jinn still lurk here in small numbers, patiently waiting for the day they will unleash their vengeance.” Written by Paul “Wiggy” Wade-Williams, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: Hellfrost Land of Fire Realm Guide #2: The Jinn Lands of Old.

Mutants & Masterminds

Misfit Studios has released a Mutants & Masterminds version of the Gingerbread Golem [view our entry in the Roleplayers Chronicle Reference database here]. “Now for something to completely different…I first introduced this golem in an April Fool’s adventure called Tyman’s Taunting Tower for Castles & Crusades. You can find that version in Troll Lord Games’ Crusader #17. There’s also a Pathfinder version out by Kobold Press, and now this version for Superpowered by M&M. I hope you find this creature a fun combatant with which to torture your PCs. The teeth and claws are just for show! Encasing foes in gingerbread is their real attack!” Written by Steven Trustrum, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: The Manual of Mutants & Monsters: Gingerbread Golem.

Steve Jackson Games [visit their website here] has released a set of Yrth Fighting Styles for GURPS Martial Arts. ” This supplement features more than a dozen armed and unarmed styles specific to Yrth, but suitable for many magical realms. It also includes an examination of how martial-minded advantages and disadvantages work in a fantasy world, plus new perks, techniques, and more. It also provides background on fighting traditions throughout the Banestorm setting, with lots of flavor-rich material that can be incorporated into other settings.” Written by David T. Moore, it’s available for purchase from e23: GURPS Martial Arts: Yrth Fighting Styles.
