New Kickstarter Campaign Will Help Finance a New and Amazing Tool for RPG Gamers

Riverton, Ut, November 5, 2013– Map Flats has launched their Kickstarter campaign on November 4.

These fantastic vinyl maps are designed to allow role playing games to start faster, play smoother and be more exciting. Because they are made from 15 oz. vinyl, it is possible to write on the maps with wet erase markers and change them during play.

Gamers are invited to like their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MapFlats.

“I love playing RPG games and I needed to find a way to get games started faster. When I created Map Flats, I knew that they would be the perfect vehicle for getting games started and make them even more exciting. They can be used as stand-alone maps or as additions to your existing maps.” – Ted Leaman, Creator Map Flats

The Map Flats concept will be financed via a new Kickstarter campaign http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splork/map-flats-vinyl-tabletop-rpg-maps

The funds will be used to increase production, create more designs and open up a distribution system. And 5% of the Kickstarter money donated will be reinvested in other Kickstarter campaigns, to keep the entrepreneurial ball rolling.

Map Flats will share news with their fans via their Facebook page and through Kickstarter at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splork/map-flats-vinyl-tabletop-rpg-maps.

“I have had a chance to play on the Map Flats prototypes and they are awesome. We were able to write on them to show changes on the maps, put characters on the board and get our games started incredibly quickly.” – Tom W., Avid gamer

The Map Flats concept came from Ted’s love of high quality graphic game maps and his inept ability to transfer the images in his mind to the mats he was gaming on. An avid Gen Con attendee, he admired the 3 dimensional gaming supplements but immediately recognized the inherent problem of ‘easy transport’ of the pieces. Also, there is a limit to customizing those pieces during play. When you draw on them, typically the only way to ‘erase’ the markings is to re-paint them.

The Kickstarter campaign will be run until December 4. To make sure that Map Flats pays forward the support and kindness, they will be donating 5% of their Kickstarter money to other Kickstarter entrepreneurs.
