Pathfinder Canids, Deadlands Adventure, and Halloween Goodness

Here’s a look at today’s new, third party, and accessory releases.

Kobold Press has released their latest Advanced Races supplement for Pathfinder featuring the Ravenfolk [view our entry in the Roleplayers Chronicle Reference database here]. “Few races live amid so much rumor, suspicion and outright falsehood as the ravenfolk, the Western cousins of the tengu. They are condemned as solitary wanderers bearing misfortune, and praised as messengers from the gods. They are loyal comrades and treacherous thieves, brave warriors and contemptible cowards. But these truths, half-truths and lies conceal a greater mystery that very few outsiders know…” Written by Wade Rockett, it’s available for purchase at DriveThruRPG: Advanced Races 5: Ravenfolk (Pathfinder RPG).

Michael LaBossiere [visit their website here] has released the PDF version of their Rils’ Lesser Sanctum adventure module for Pathfinder. “While scholars of necromancy debate the very existence of Rils, none of them doubt that there are numerous tombs, sanctums and dungeons that are allegedly his handiwork. The scholars who accept that Rils existed believe that because of his devotion to knowledge, he created numerous repositories holding his scrolls and books. They also claim that Rils did not wish his knowledge to fall into unworthy hands or to be acquired too easily. As such, these repositories are supposed to be well guarded and thoroughly trapped. Others claim that he created these places as deathtraps to slaughter those who might someday challenge his power. Still others speculate that some of his tombs and sanctums were created to imprison and torment failed students.” Written by Michael LaBossiere, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: Rils’ Lesser sanctum.

Fat Goblin Games [visit their Facebook page here] has released their latest Racial Ecologies racial supplement for Pathfinder featuring The Canids. “No species has a history so integrated with humanity as the common dog, and no race is as interspersed into the lives of other races as the Canids. For as long as records have been kept, canids have been around, though no origin story is told for them, and no god claims them as their own. Some theorize that they were created to live in tandem to other races, but if that is the case, by whom? Why would they regularly face off on opposite sides of the battlefield? Most likely, the canids evolved into a niche in society that was easily filled, and advantageous to enter. Canids are almost always found living alongside a much larger encampment of another race, and over time they have developed individual peculiarities that compliment the foster race they are bonded to.” Written by Nick Esposito, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: Racial Ecologies: The Canids.

Savage Worlds

Triple Ace Games has released the latest Realm Guide for the Land of Fire continent of Hellfrost – Hekata [view our entry in the Roleplayers Chronicle Reference database here]. “Once a rich and mighty empire, Hekata was brought to ruin by the pride and fear of its mightiest ruler. Had it not succumbed to corruption, it might have gone on to conquer the entire continent. But that was not its fate. Cursed by the gods and shunned by the living, Hekata is now a realm of death and damnation, a place where the wise do not tread. This supplement expands on material in the Hellfrost: Land of Fire supplement.” Written by Paul “Wiggy” Wade-Williams, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: Hellfrost Land of Fire Realm Guide #1: Hekata.

PEG-DL-The-InheritorsPinnacle Entertainment Group has released a new 24-page adventure module for their Western fantasy horror Deadlands – The Inheritors [view our entry in the Roleplayers Chronicle Reference database here]. “Dear Aunt Agatha is dead, and she’s left the family farm in Kansas to a posse member. The lucky sod just has to go back to Kansas and sign a few papers for a one-way ticket to Easy Street. The arrangements only take a week to complete, so as long as the ranch isn’t haunted, no old feuds see fit to unearth themselves, and Black River doesn’t get a hankering for the family plot, everything should go off without a hitch, amigo. Better bring a few friends…just in case.” Written by Zach Wellhouse, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG: Deadlands Reloaded: The Inheritors.

Atomic Overmind Press [visit their website here] has released their latest Serpent Scales post-apocalyptic supplement for The Day After Ragnarok for both Savage Worlds and Fate – The Lion in Fimbulwinter. “When the Midgard Serpent fell to the Americans’ nuclear fire in July 1945, Denmark and Norway sheltered Sweden from the worst of it: Sweden’s survivors could shelter in their damaged buildings from the torrential rain that became torrential hail and snow. A near-civil war in the wake of Serpentfall forced the Crown Prince to flee, and a fragile coalition government holds a tenuous grasp on the reins of power. The Serpent’s body lies humped and cloudy on the western horizon. The Americans have pulled back to the Rockies; the center of the British Empire removed to Australia. The Royal Navy can keep station in the North Sea, but the Red Army commands all of Europe east of the Serpent Curtain. Soviet agents and skulk and plot in Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö…and there are far fouler things lurking in the dark winter night.” Written by Kenneth Hite, it’s available for purchase from DriveThruRPG:
